It's taking a lot longer than she thought.

Clark actually walks rather quickly away from the house, though he stops at the end of the long driveway and seems, at that point, to remember he's not alone. And he waits for Eden to catch up.

When she returns to Anne's house, she notices two little figures walking along the road towards it, a fair distance away.

She recognizes one of them.

Landing lightly on her balcony, she shifts down and unlatches the door. Tom is in the house; she ought to find him, to let him know.

Being transported into a post-apocalyptic town in southern California certainly makes for a great diet plan. Eden has subsisted on canned fruit, canned tuna, bottled water.
